DIRECTIONS TO NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY


From Washington/Richmond to Norfolk (points north and west of Norfolk (I95/I64):     

ť  Take I95S from Washington to Richmond.
ť  In Richmond, exit onto I64E to Norfolk/Williamsburg.
ť  Travel approx. 75-80 miles to Norfolk on I64E.

ť When you reach Hampton, you will take the Hampton Roads Tunnel and continue 
   on I64E to exit 284 (I264 to Norfolk) Take I264 W to Norfolk.
ť  Take the Brambleton Blvd.
ť  Exit (approx. 3 miles).

ť Stay in the right-hand lane as you come off of the exit.
ť At the light (Park Avenue) take a right, then another 100 yards, take another right 
  into Gate 1 at Norfolk State University.

ť The security guard will direct you to parking. L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center 
   will be on your left as you go through the security gate.

From the Eastern Shore:

ť Take Route 13 across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (toll) to I64.
ť Take I64 east (toward Chesapeake) to I264. Take I264 W to Norfolk.
ť Take the Brambleton Blvd. Exit (approx. 3 miles).
ť Stay in the right-hand lane as you come off of the exit.

ť At the light (Park Avenue) take a right, then another 100 yards, take another 
  right into Gate 1 at Norfolk State University.
ť The security guard will direct you to parking. L. Douglas Wilder Performing 
   Arts Center will be on your left as you go through the security gate.

From Suffolk/Emporia/Roanoke/ Petersburg and points south and west of Norfolk (Route 460/58/): 

ť  Take 460E to Suffolk then take 58E from Suffolk to Norfolk.
ť  When you reach Chesapeake, you will leave 58E and take I64W to Norfolk.
ť  Then take one of two options below (Option One is shorter, Option Two is easier):

Option One:

ť  Take exit 291 (I464) to Norfolk.
ť  As you go over the Berkley Bridge, take the Tidewater Drive exit.
ť  As you come off of the ramp onto Tidewater Drive, stay in the right-hand lane and turn 
    right onto Brambleton Boulevard at the light.

Go under the underpass, get in the left-hand lane, turn left on Park Avenue, then 100 yards
 turn right onto campus at Gate 1 to Norfolk State University.

The security guard will direct you to parking. L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center will 
be on your left as you go through the security gate.

Option Two:

ť  Take I64W to exit 284. (I264 to Norfolk)
ť  Take I264 W to Norfolk.
ť  Take the Brambleton Blvd.
ť  Exit (approx. 3 miles).

ť  Stay in the right-hand lane as you come off of the exit.
ť  At the light (Park Avenue) take a right, then another 100 yards, take another right into Gate 1 
    at Norfolk State University. 
ť  The security guard will direct you to parking.
ť  L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center will be on your left as you go through the security gate.

PARKING:

Parking will be provided in the circle next to Wilder and in Lot 14 adjacent to Wilder Center (Gate 1 off of Park Avenue). Optional parking will be provided on Presidential Parkway adjacent to the Wilder Center and across the street.
