Norfolk State University Honors Local Tuskegee Airmen

Norfolk, Va.—Norfolk State University’s History Department, Army and Navy ROTC and the Office of Veterans Affairs will sponsor a Veterans Day celebration Thursday, Nov. 11 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Mills E. Godwin Student Center.

Three local members of the Tuskegee Airmen, LTC (retired) Francis L. Horne, Sr., CMS (retired) Grant S. Williams, Sr. and MSGT (retired) Ezra Hill will be honored during this program. Alvin J. Schexnider, NSU acting president, will make the presentation to the honorees.

The program will give students and other attendees an opportunity to talk with these national heroes and see memorabilia from WWII. This event is free and open to the public.
