young people with positive role models whose accomplishments and
determination demonstrate true excellence in leadership. In recognition of
Black History Month, each year since 1991, Dominion Resources has
recognized the achievements of distinguished African Americans. Teaching
materials about these individuals are then distributed to thousands of
students, as well as community, government and non-profit organizations
throughout Dominion service areas in Virginia, North Carolina,
Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
The Strong Men and Women: Excellence in Leadership materials include a
large poster and biographical reference guide. Last year, Dominion
distributed more than 18,000 posters and reference guides
