Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Tom Joyner to be Featured at NSU Annual Green and Gold Ball and Forever Upward Awards Ceremony

Norfolk, Va.—Nationally syndicated radio host Tom Joyner will be a featured presenter at Norfolk State University’s Annual Green and Gold Ball and Forever Upward Awards Ceremony Saturday, March 29 at the Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception followed by dinner, the Forever Upward Awards Ceremony and dancing.

The 2003 Forever Upward Award is presented in four categories: Academic, Alumnus, Government/Public Service and Service. This year’s recipients are: Dr. S. Raj Chaudhury in the Academic category for his diligence to enhance teaching and learning of science though the application of technology; Col. Chauncey Crenshaw in the Alumnus category for serving as a global ambassador for the university and volunteering countless hours of working with alumni projects nationwide; the Norfolk Foundation in the Government/Public Service category for its ensuring that pressing community needs are being met; and Harvey Lindsay takes honors in the Service category for serving the Hampton Roads community tirelessly through many volunteer and charitable efforts. Each honoree has provided invaluable service to Norfolk State University or the Hampton Roads community.

Tickets to this stellar event are $75. Proceeds will benefit student scholarships and educational programs.
