The Forever Upward Award is presented in six categories: Academic, Alumnus, Corporate Partner, Generosity, Government/Public Service and Service. The 2002 winners include Dr. Page Laws in the Academic category for her dedicated teaching service to NSU’s Honors Program; the Department of Energy in the Government/Public Service category for its many contributions to Norfolk State’s science programs; the Hampton Roads 200+ Black Men takes the honors in the Service Category and Wal-Mart was named in the Corporate Partner category. Each honoree has provided invaluable service to Norfolk State University or the Hampton Roads community. Tickets for the scholarship fundraiser are $100 each and $185 per couple.
