Symposium on Homeland Security and Civil Liberties to be Held
April 30 at Norfolk State University

Norfolk, Va.-The Norfolk State University Center for Global and Strategic Studies will host a symposium on Homeland Security and Civil Liberties from 5 - 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 30 at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center.

Free and open to the public, the symposium, which is co-sponsored by the Frederich-Neumann Foundation of Washington, D.C., is designed to be an audience driven, interactive examination of issues, concerns and questions related to homeland security, civil liberties and terrorism. Panelists and expert speakers in international relations, law and terrorism include:

· State Senator Kenneth W. Stolle
· State Delegate Jerrauld Jones
· FBI Agent Michael Varnum

· LTC Richard J. Kilroy, Jr.--U.S.A. Joint Forces Staff College
· Capt. Norbert Herman --currently serving at NATO headquarters
· Walter Klitz--Frederich Neumann Stiftung Foundation
· Raynor A.K. Taylor --President of the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads
· D.C. Amarasinghe, M.D.--Democratic Party Member
· Gwendolyn S. Brown --Chief Operating Officer of Soul Source Press Inc. and author of "The Integrity Manual for Leaders in a Global Society".
