Norfolk State University Wins Admissions
Advertising Awards Competition
Norfolk, Va.-The Admissions Marketing Report announced Friday that Norfolk State University has won awards in four admissions advertising awards categories in its 17th Annual Admission Advertising Awards competition. The awards competition is designed to recognize outstanding efforts in college and university admissions marketing and advertising. Norfolk State University won the Gold award, the top award, for its branding campaign in the total public relations programs/total advertising campaigns category. Norfolk State's branding campaign was launched last year and involved a series of advertising in newspapers, magazines, television and radio. The branding campaign also involved developing a new organization logo, slogan and adopting a new visual identity program. In an addition to the Gold award, Norfolk State University won merit awards in three categories including radio advertising (Smart Career Options); television advertising (Year of the Young Child) and newspaper advertising (Stroke Sense Campaign). Norfolk State University competed against many of the best advertising campaigns in the country.
