Johnson named MEAC "Rookie of the Week"

Norfolk, Va.— Norfolk State University freshmen running back Terrell Johnson has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) 'Rookie of the Week".

Johnson broke the 100-yard barrier for the first time in his college career Saturday, with 111 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown in the Spartan's 35-6 win over Savannah State.

In two games, Johnson has rushed for 197 yards on 31 carries and two touchdowns. Currently, he is third in the MEAC in rushing averaging 98.5 yards/per game.

Johnson (5'10, 190) is a native of Newport News, Virginia were he attended Warwick High School.
