NSU Early Childhood Education Club Sponsors
Kids Vote Precinct
November 7
The Early Childhood Education Club will be assisting children 17 and under
with casting their ballots. They will be supporting a Chesapeake precinct
by providing student volunteers to man the voting polls from 6 a.m. – 7
p.m., Nov. 7 at DeBaun Memorial Baptist Church, located at 1510 Campostella
Rd.

Veterans Day Celebration
· November 9
Norfolk State University’s Veterans Upward Bound program is sponsoring
a luncheon honoring on and off-campus Veterans from 12:30-1:20 p.m., in
the Ballroom Student Center. Maj. H. Bernard Branch will be the
guest speaker.

6th Annual Francine Kee Peterson Memorial Scholarship Conference
· November 17
The Virginia Association of Black Psychologists will host the 6th Annual
Francine Kee Peterson Memorial Scholarship Conference HIV/AIDS in the
African-American Community: Issues and Prevention from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.,
Friday, Nov. 17 at Norfolk State University’s L. Douglas Wilder Performing
Arts Center. The conference will feature a variety of AIDS/HIV related
workshops, panel discussions with keynote speakers, tips focusing on the
role of culture and context in preventative inventions and more.
