FORUM ON RESTORATION
OF VOTING RIGHTS FOR Norfolk, Va. --- The Norfolk State University Ethelyn R. Strong School of Social Work Alpha Delta Mu National Honor Society in collaboration with the Social Work Contemporary Issues and Policies class (SWK 411) presents a forum titled, "Restoration of Voting Rights for Non-violent Felons" on Thursday, March 30, 2000 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the G.W.C. Brown Hall Little Theater. This event is being held in observance and celebration of National Social Work Month. The featured speakers will be Virginia State Senator Yvonne B. Miller and Sandra Brandt. Brandt is director of the STEP-UP organization, which is a federal transitional program for felons who have been released from prison. Light refreshments will be served at the close of the forum's open discussion session. The forum is free and open to the public.
