TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
DEPARTMENT HEAD
POSITION: Norfolk State University seeks applications for an experienced, creative, and enthusiastic Department Head in Tourism and Hospitality Management. This is a tenure-track position at the Associate Professor level.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of the Department Head include: providing leadership and vision in building a local, regional and international reputation for the Tourism and Hospitality Management program; and teaching tourism and hospitality management undergraduate courses in an environment that is dedicated to educational quality, close student-teacher relationships, and small class sizes. The Department Head reports to the Dean of the School of Business.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Hospitality Management or related field required. Experience in teaching undergraduate courses in tourism and hospitality management; extensive industry experience at the executive or management level; administrative experience; and a record of research experience in the field.
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
