during Student Safety Awareness Month
Students Against Crime Parade
In observance of "Student Safety Awareness Month", the Norfolk State University
Police Department hosted a "Students Against Crime" parade on October 25, 2006
at 12:00 noon. It was a mini parade that began in front of police headquarters
and proceeded to the Mills E. Godwin Center where a brief ceremony took place.
We were privileged to have Dr. Meyers, Mr. Larry Curtis, faculty, staff, student
groups, Child Development Lab, and organizations join us.

Lt. Price.
- Gang Prevention Presentation-October 7, 2007: Presented by Sgt. Kevin Genwright to the Men’s Ministry, Newport News, VA.
- Sexual Assault Presentation – October 9, 2007: Presented by Ms. Kim Birdwell
of YWCA (NSUPD Grant Partnership) to NSU Liberal Arts 101 Teachers.
- Site Visit by Virginia Tech- mentor School for NSUPD the Sexual Assault Grant;
