Example for Students

1. User Name:  Student Username (FirstInitial.Middleinitial.LastName)

2. Password: Enter your network password

 All passwords are REQUIRED to be changed when you log on to Webmail for the first time

Student Login ID's

The NSU Logon ID will be first initial . middle initial . last name. This NSU Logon ID is not case sensitive but the password is. The password will be a capital S followed by the assigned seven digit student number.

Here is an example:

Student Name:             Ira M. Student
NSU Student Number: 1234567
LAN ID:                         i.m.student
Password:                    S1234567$
Email:                           i.m.student@nsu.edu 

The password will be a capital S followed by the assigned seven digit student number plus a $ at the end.  Example: S1234567$

Locating the Student ID Number

Students that do not know their student id number can use the number at the bottom left of their Spartan Card to find the number.

The number on the Spartan Card is 11 digits long. Therefore, students must remove the first two digits and the last two digits of the 11 digit number to find their student id number.

Ex. The number is 11345678911.
Remove the first two digits and the last two digits.
The student id number is 3456789.

This will display your Student ID for: SpartanShield, NSU Email, Black Board & NSU LAN

If you should experience any problems logging into your account, please visit one of the OIT-managed computer laboratories in the University Library, Brown Memorial Hall, the Wood Sciences Building, or the Spartan Station Mall for assistance.

Students will need to show either their University identification card or other picture identification along with a current schedule of their classes to the computer laboratory specialist in order to receive their accounts.
