About Graduate Studies Thank you for visiting the Graduate Studies Web Site at Norfolk State University. The mission of the Office of Graduate Studies is to serve as the University’s advocate for continued improvement of graduate education.

Please take the time to browse and discover our quality and affordable graduate programs. Master’s degree programs are offered in Applied Sociology, Community/Clinical Psychology, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Media and Communications, Music, Optical Engineering, Pre-Elementary Education, Severe Disabilities, Social Work, Teaching, Urban Affairs, Urban Education, and Visual Studies. Doctoral programs are offered in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, and Materials Science.

Norfolk State University is one of the nation’s largest Historically Black Universities, (HBCU). Our programs attract students and faculty from diverse national, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
