ROBERT SITES
Since 1996, I have had nine one person exhibitions and have shown in sixteen states as well as Italy. After receiving my MFA in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art (1975), I studied in Urbino, Italy with Enzo Cucchi and Eliseo Mattiacci, in an advanced painting program sponsored by the School of Visual Arts. I have received two fellowships from the Virginia Commission for the Arts. In January 2005, I was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome, part of their visiting artist/visiting scholars program. And in May 2005, I returned to Naples to continue my work.
