Eighty-five percent of all students at Norfolk State University receive financial aid through non-need scholarships, need-based scholarships, low-interest loans and long-term loans, College Work-Study awards, and part-time jobs.

To be eligible for financial aid, a student must be in good standing, that is, permitted to enroll at Norfolk State University or successfully progressing toward completion of a degree program. Applicants must file the (FAFSA) Free Application and the Institutional Financial Application.
