Maren Jackson & Janeen Jackson Fine Arts Scholarship
This award is available to any full time African American Fine Arts undergraduate student who is a sophomore or higher, or African American Visual Studies Graduate student. The candidate must submit an artist portfolio and artist statement. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. The one-time amount to be awarded is $1,250.

L. Chatman & H. Faulker Fine Arts Scholarship
This award is for a selected freshman to senior full time Fine Arts student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Candidate submittal for this scholarship requires a two-page essay on their interest in gallery, curatorial work, or a professional pursuit in the area of Art History, Graphic design, or professional studio practice. Recipients are required to complete up to 10 hours of volunteer work at the James Wise Gallery weekly. The one-time amount to be awarded is $1,250.

A.B. Jackson Fine Arts Scholarship
The Norfolk, Virginia, Chapter of the Links, Incorporated (Norfolk Links) sponsors this prestigious scholarship to support a rising senior at NSU’s Division of Fine Arts to support an exhibition of their artworks. The individual must be enrolled full time during the following fall semester. The award will be determined on a competitive basis and require the submission of an art portfolio and artist statement. The recipient of the award will be required to showcase his/her artworks during an art show sponsored by the organization. Items required for submittal include a portfolio, artist statement, letter of recommendation, and transcript. Students must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher. The one-time amount to be awarded is $1,000.

James Wise Gallery Fund
Beyond scholarship needs, extra funding for our programs is always appreciated. This fund is to raise monies for activities associated with the daily operation of the James Wise Gallery; including: exhibitions, performances, lectures, workshops, cost associated with exhibition installations, shipping artworks, travel and lodging for visiting artists, printing exhibition materials, reception for art events and other associated cost and events. These activities help promote student awareness and activities in all areas of the Division of Fine Arts, to include Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Photography, and Fashion.
