Review the Tuition and Fee schedule for the semester you plan to attend and calculate your school expenses.

If you have not already done so, go to the Department of Education webpage to download Funding  Education Beyond High School:  The Guide to Federal Student Aid.

Meet with Guidance Counselor & Search for Scholarships

Meet with your high school guidance counselor to discuss applications for local and private scholarships. Also visit Financial Aid's webpage for additional scholarships.

Complete the FAFSA

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and add NSU’s school code (003765). In order to avoid delays and having to wait in lines, early completion of both the admissions and financial aid application process is strongly encouraged.  NSU’s priority deadline for completing the FAFSA is March 15.  To avoid delay of your financial aid award, complete and return any forms requested by the University.

Award Letter

Review your award letter carefully.  Please understand that your financial aid award may not cover the total cost of tuition.  Please be prepared to pay the remaining balance or make financial arrangements by the tuition deadline. View the Student Accounts website for more information on payment options.
