Program Guidelines
Students must have A.A.S. degree in Child Development to be eligible for 3+1.
Students must be admitted to NSU before enrolling in classes.
Classes will be held at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center.
Admissions
In order for the credits to count towards NSU residency credit, the students must be admitted to the baccalaureate program and must enroll as an NSU student. Students in this program must indicate 3+1 Early Childhood Development on their NSU application under the Program of Study. These students will then be coded with a student type code of 3Plus in the student information system by the NSU Office of Admissions.

Students in this program are processed in the same manner as any new student.  The student must choose where their Financial Aid paperwork should be submitted by choosing which college or university he or she wishes to have financial aid applied.  Only one school can be chosen at a time. The Norfolk State University federal school code is: 003765
Registrar
Students are not permitted to enroll in cross-registration to ensure proper residency credit is applied. Students must register for classes at NSU. The maximum number of credits taken at NSU while concurrently enrolled at the community college level is six.
