Podcasting

Simply put, “podcasting” is a new Internet technology that allows anyone to easily and cheaply distribute audio content to a global audience. What makes podcasting unique is that it allows users to subscribe to the audio content provided by a Web site. The audio content could include music, interviews, stories, news accounts, discussions, or anything else that can be captured in sound. There is no charge for subscribing to a podcast. The subscription is simply a way to automate the process of distributing the audio files to the listeners. (Despite the name - you don't need an iPod to make or listen to podcasts.) In this presentation, we?ll listen to a range of podcast content and talk about some exciting ideas for creating and distributing good audio.
