How do I manage my Blackboard course?
A. STUDENT ENROLLMENT
•  Sec. 90 (fully Online) courses – On the first day of a new semester, students whose names appear on course section rosters in COLLEAGUE are entered in Blackboard course roster by the Blackboard eLearning Technical Support Coordinator. After classes begin, students who “ADD” the course are also enrolled by the course instructor.
NOTE: Students who do not appear on COLLEAGE roster (“DROP”) are removed from Blackboard course roster by the instructor; especially important because of fluctuations during the ADD/Drop period.

• Other Sections (Blended courses) – the instructor is responsible for enrolling and removing students in course sections other than Sec 90 (face-to-face plus Blackboard).
• Students with “Drop” status –these students are “removed” by the instructor only; the remove user function is in the control panel . . . Blackboard Coordinator does not perform this task.
• ADDING COURSE CONTENT

Copy Course Materials from the previous semester to new semester
Course instructor uses Course Copy function to do it, which is located under Course Options of Control Panel. Please see the attached instructions for Course Copy .

C. COURSE AVAILABILITY
All Sec. 90, 91 and 92 course-sites are UNAVAILABLE (by default) . . . this means that students cannot access the course-site.

1. How to know for sure that the course is available:
Use your faculty/student login to see what the student sees. Each of you has a faculty/student account in Blackboard. Follow these steps:

Password (NSU email account+$0326) For example: jdoe$0326
After first login to Blackboard, you can change the password by going to My Institution -> Personal Information under Tools -> Change Password.

2. How to make course available:
Control Panel à Course Options à Settings à Course availability à click “Yes” and submit.

3. No course with old dates showing of postings, interactions, discussions should be made available!
Again . . . Do not make courses available that have old dates showing.
