In this course students will be able to contribute and gain an understanding of the physical, social, emotional, speech and language, and intellectual development of children and the ability to use this understanding in guiding leaming experiences. The interaction of children with individual difference - economic, soaal, racial, ethnic, religious, physical, and mental -should be incopbrate4d to indude skills conMbuting to an understanding of developmental disabilities and developmental issues related to but not limited to attention deficit disorders, gifted education induding the use of multiple criteria to identify gifted students, substance abuse, child abuse and family distuptions. |
