SpartanCard Authorization
Beginning August
11, 2008, all full time students (with no outstanding
prior balance) who are expecting a financial aid refund,
will be able to authorize and place funds on their
SpartanCards online. This self-authorization can be
done on SpartanShield using SpartanCard Authorization
link on the Main Menu. This will eliminate
(for those students who meet the above criteria) the need to
visit Student Accounts Office for SpartanCard authorization
purposes.
So, what is E-Commerce all about?
The FAQ below will give you the facts.
What is E-Commerce?
E-Commerce
is the payment component of SpartanShield
which will allow students to make payments online for
registered courses.
Will I be able to use E-Commerce?
If you are a
Norfolk State University student with a valid SpartanShield
user ID and password, you may use E-Commerce.
You can pay tuition and related fees for current and
upcoming terms using E-Commerce.
However, account balances for terms prior to Fall 2005 may not be paid using
E-Commerce.
What payment methods will E-Commerce accept?
Credit and
debit cards with the Visa, MasterCard or Discover logos may
be used.
However, electronic checks and debit cards requiring PINs are not
acceptable payment methods at this time.
When will payments post to my account and how will I know?
Payments
made using E-Commerce will be posted to your account in real
time (at the moment payment is processed and confirmed).
You will be notified of payment confirmation via a
SpartanShield acknowledgement; an e-mail sent to
your official NSU e-mail address; and, an optional e-mail
address if provided.
