GED Program

GED Program

The mission of Norfolk State University (NSU) is to provide an affordable, high-quality education for an ethnically and culturally diverse student population, equipping them with the capability to become productive citizens who continuously contribute to a global and rapidly changing society. In keeping with our mission, we are excited about offering a pre-collegiate component through offering preparatory classes to take the General Educational Development (GED) test.

The GED test is a national examination developed by the GED Testing Service of the American Council on Education . The credential received for passing the test is widely recognized by colleges, training schools and employers as equivalent to a high school diploma. Qualified instructors will provide one-one group instructions in all five areas of testing; writing skills , social studies, science literature and the arts and mathematics. NSU Community and Outreach Services would like to support you in reaching your full potential through this empowering process.
