A foundational  goal of The Ernest M. The Center’s research contributes to the improvement of entrepreneurship education, and to a better understanding of factors affecting the formation and growth of new and existing businesses.

Faculty and student research interests are focused in but not limited to four primary areas:

  • Minority- and women-owned businesses: The challenges and advantages.
  • Small and family-owned business enterprises: Development, management, and inter-generational transfer.
  • Technological innovation: New product development, existing-product improvement, licensing, and IP protection and commercialization.
