NSU Career Services
Mission Statement
To provide a comprehensive career development and
assistance program to students and alumni, enhancing their capability
for successful careers as productive citizens contributing to society.
The Norfolk State Career Services Center
(NSU CS) is a full service placement and Career Services
activity for Norfolk State students and graduates.
NSU Career Services (CS)
practices Equal Employment Opportunity Guidelines and abides
by Principles for professional conduct career services and
Employment Professionals of the National Association of
Colleges and Employers.
NSU students and
graduates using NSU CS are expected to abide by the National
Association Code of Ethics as well as guidelines and
standards established by CS. Services and programs are
available to all matriculating students and graduates of
Norfolk State University.
Registration
To receive the full range of Placement and Career
Services, students must be registered with CS. Registration
and the maintenance of a credentials file is a requirement
for seniors seeking CS assistance for Placement in
Professional Career Positions upon graduation.
Registered
students are added to the CS mailing list and receive
priority consideration for the on-campus referral program.
Registration includes: completing the placement and career
development authorization form and providing five copies of
your resume to CS.
