First Year (Exploration)
Curiosity
Students will learn about programs and services designed to gain an early start on career planning that will help achieve personal and academic goals.
Second Year (Career Development)
Excellence
Students will participate in career education and experiential programs offering real time exposure to various industries that will help sharpen their communication, decision making, teamwork and collaboration as well as problem solving skills.
Integrity
Students will develop career and professional goals by choosing a major and engage in organizational, extra-curricular activities, experiential and global experiences that will allow him or her to be given leadership task that will establish a sense of personal, community and global experiences beyond oneself.
Third Year (Career Engagement)
Engagement
Students will identify and use relevant job resources that will assist in enhancing their academic experience, while identifying career options that will outline a clear plan towards post-graduate and career success.
Fourth Fourth (Career Placement)
Pride
Students will be able to translate their NSU experiences, academic, co-curricular, and work-related skills in a manner that will distinguish them while in engaging in their career planning process. Their career development skills (resume writing, networking-link up, interviewing, etc.) obtained during the academic year, will assist students in gaining employment upon graduation.
Civility
Students will seek opportunities that excite and inspire them to build a purposeful career by researching and experimenting with opportunities they actually care about. By outlining prospective employers and evaluating location, interest, and salary expectations, students will actively make informed decisions about their career choice.
