Welcome to the
Senior Citizens Club
Mission
The mission of Norfolk State University School of Social Work Outreach Services is to implement and support enduring projects that will enhance communities, aid individuals in developing their personal capacities and promote the University.
The School of Social Work Outreach Services receives funds from federal, city and private sources that enable us to address critical issues that threaten quality of life. Over the past thirteen years we have utilized grant funds to revitalize surrounding communities, provide jobs, enhance small businesses and promote academic achievement. In collaboration with local organizations and other stakeholders we serve our neighbors.
Outreach Services offer many of its programs through the University owned and operated community center located in the heart of the Central Brambleton community. We operate with a faculty and staff of six, along with numerous students and volunteers. Our programs serve community youth, senior citizens, adults and the Norfolk State University family. Our programs are educational, recreational, cultural and social in nature.
