ACCESS Female Mentoring Program (AFMP)

The ACCESS Female Mentoring Program (AFMP) is designed to promote the overall development of character in female students at Norfolk State University through mentoring by fostering intellectual, personal and professional growth, and a capacity for effective leadership.  The emphasis of AFMP is to develop a long-term relationship between students, faculty and staff. The goals and objectives of the program are to:

•  Improve female student success

•  Improve the retention and graduation rates of female students

•  Develop leadership skills of female students

• Contribute self enrichment/personal interest of female students

• Encourage female students to adopt an “Excellence in Education Attitude"
