ACCESS

 Computer Lab

The Office of First Year Experience/ACCESS has expanded the scope of advising and academic support services at NSU by establishing a Research and Statistical Learning Division.  The division is an on-campus facility that provides research, statistical consultation and support to faculty, staff and students.

 Computer Lab Brochure

Staff consultants in this division employ an exploratory approach to research queries, often incorporating the latest software and statistical methodologies.  Consultants offer guidance across a broad range of research landscapes, including, but not limited to, the following questions:

  • How do I turn my research question into a research project?
  • How should I enter my data?
  • What statistical program is best for my project?
  • How do I get the program to run the analysis I want?
  • What is the best technique for presenting my data?

In sum, the research and statistical learning division assists and encourages faculty, staff and students in their research activities as it works in tandem with them to promote academic success for NSU students.  This division offers an on-campus facility, the Bowser Research Laboratory, that provides research, statistical consultation and support to faculty, staff, and students.

For more information about the computer lab, please contact the FYE / ACCESS office at 823-2195
or visit the James A. Bowser  Building, Suite 118.
