Advisor Training

Faculty advisor development is provided by the ACCESS Department. Each degree granting academic department has a departmental academic advising coordinator, who is appointed by the department head.

Academic Intervention Measures (AIM)

Early intervention has been found to be one of the most effective strategies in preventing students from falling into academic jeopardy. This is based on the premise that if a student is assisted in time, directed to academic support services, and mentored by an advisor, the student can begin to have the right behavior or attitude, which should lead to positive performance and success.
