Website Edit Requests

Instructions

WCM Editor & Contributor

In order to make a request you need to be an assigned WCM Editor and/or Contributor -  WCM Editor and Contributor Listing.  See Web Site Editing for more information.

Tickets

Tickets are ONLY placed by NSU Web Services. Do not open your own ticket.  Once Web Services receives your request, They will review it and send back an email indicating they have received your request and there is a ticket now open and in queue.

Currently we are implementing a WCM (Web Content Management) System. Once this has been rolled out, Editors and Contributors will be responsible for their own websites edits.

Making Edit Requests

Send all requests to website@nsu.edu. It is required that for each change, you submit the related link/website page address, denote if it is an addition/change/deletion, and any information directly relating to the edits. If you do not include these three items, the request will be returned and no action will be taken on this request until the required information is provided. Our return email will indicate what information we need in order to proceed. Please remember, this slows down the editing processes, so it is vital you submit your requests with all of the necessary information for the ticket.

Turn Around Time

When we receive each request we review to ensure ALL of the required information is attached to the request (link/website address of changes, if it is a change/addition/deletion, and any pertinent instructions.)

We then open the ticket, notify you and the ticket goes into a queue. Turn around time is typically 24-48 hours, however this would depend upon how many edits were send as well as the length of the existing ticket queue. Please DO NOT resend requests.

Workflow

1. Editor and Contributors submit the changes via email to website@nsu.edu

2. The NSU Webmaster will receive the email and open a ticket, and send back an acknowledgement to the user via the website@nsu.edu email.

3. Once this has been completed the requestor is notified and the ticket closed.
