Veteran Affairs

 Military Service Credit

The University will consider granting academic credit for experiences gained while in the military, including military training. A veteran who has been on active duty one year or longer or has received an honorable discharge may request elective credit for military service to be applied toward their academic degree.

To request an evaluation, students must submit a VA DD-214 form to the Admissions Office and/or college and military academic transcripts to obtain a Certificate of Advance Standing. This document must be reviewed by the academic advisor to equate the number of transfer credits.

The veteran must provide a copy of the completed Certificate of Advance Standing or a copy of the transcript of the transfer credits to the Veterans Affairs Office for reporting to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
