Mission Statement

Empowering
College Bound Students
Our mission is to provide fundamental
support and preparation to first generation Norfolk State
University (NSU) college bound students. The program
provides opportunities for participants to succeed in
pre-college performance and ultimately in higher education
pursuits. The annual, week-long program will promote
pre-collegiate awareness, spotlight academic/career
aspirations, and guide students toward becoming productive
members of society.
Vision Statement
Norfolk State University at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center and Virginia Beach City Public Schools will provide programs and activities to assist Spartan Prep Academy students to become successful in college by introducing them to the components of college life.
