Why Live on Campus?

Students who live on campus are more successful in their academic studies and they report a higher level of satisfaction.

National statistics show that 98% of first-year college students choose to live on campus.

The Office of Residence Life & Housing utilizes a holistic programming model in its residence halls in an effort to enhance the academic, personal and social development of our students. We provide quality programming throughout the calendar year. Programs from previous years include karaoke nights, residence hall step shows, favorite faculty receptions, intramural teams, guest lectures, ice cream socials, midnight breakfast during final exams, fashion shows, and concerts.

We are here to help you adjust to campus life and ensure that your time on campus is a pleasant, rewarding and memorable living and learning experience. Please utilize the numerous resources made available and take advantage of the educational, social/recreational, and cultural programming that we have planned for you.

There are many reasons to live on campus

  • It is a wonderful opportunity to make great friends and form lasting memories.

  • Campus resources, like the library, computer labs, and tutorial services are readily accessible.

  • Campus housing is convenient – everything is within a short walking distance.

  • The price is very affordable – students make one payment that covers utilities, internet connection, cable, and local telephone.

  • NSU offers excellent dining facilities with a variety of selections.

  • On-campus security, twenty-four hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, keeps students safe.
