The goal of the Presidential Search Committee is to select a great president to lead Norfolk State University—one who embodies a commitment to leadership, community, higher education, and university development.

The next president will lead this University in its mission to provide an affordable, high-quality education to an ethnically diverse and culturally rich segment of our community, equipping them with the characteristics and skills necessary to become productive residents of this city, state and nation.

The purpose of this website is to provide you—our valuable constituents—with current and meaningful information on the University’s search for the next president. We intend to “bring the presidential search process to you” using various media technologies, such as video, audio, electronic mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc. In addition, we have added a survey component to receive and measure the characteristics, skills, and qualifications of the candidates for our next president.
