  Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) Highlights

Lower Interest Rates: decrease in interest rate on subsidized federal loans for undergraduates from 6 to 5.6%

Reduced loan fees: borrower origination fees lowered by 0.5%

New Income-Based Repayment Program

Maximum Pell Grant increase: maximum Pell Grant award 2010-2011 is $5550

Year Round Pell

Expanded ACG/SMART eligibility

 In-state tuition for active duty military
