Preparing Competent,
Compassionate, Cooperative and Committed Leaders
Since
1978, the School of Education has provided leadership,
coordination, and evaluation of all teacher education
programs at the University. The School of Education's
central purpose is to provide pre-service and in-service
educational programs to prospective teachers, in-service
teachers, administrators and others engaged in educational
activities in other agencies.
The courses of
instruction offered by the School of Education are organized
into the following departments: Elementary Education;
Health, Physical Education and Exercise Science; Secondary
Education and School Leadership; and Special Education.
The School of
Education houses centers and laboratories to enhance
professional development and student learning. They are: The
Student Success Triad; H.H. Bozeman Resource Center and
Technology Resource Laboratory.
