Norfolk State University will host the Green and Gold Ball at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 on the campus in Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall. The Ball will be hosted by NSU’s own celebrity actor JB Smoove. This black-tie dinner program promises to be a night full of elegance, great music and excitement as we pay homage to our great university and its supporters.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the Lifetime Achievement Award presentation to Drs. Melvin and Patricia Stith. Additionally, the University’s Forever Upward Award will be given to:

  • Robert C. Nusbaum (posthumously) and Linda Laibstain;
  • Shiloh Baptist Church; and
  • Huntington Ingalls Industries for their commitment and philanthropic support of Norfolk State University.

Lastly, the evening will feature the induction of individuals into the Lyman Beecher Brooks Society. This is the second induction into our premier giving society which recognizes individuals whose lifetime giving is $100,000 or greater. This year, 13 individuals will be inducted into the Lyman Beecher Brooks Society.
