Rhyme & Reason

Rhyme & reason Learning Community

A First-Year Learning Community

The Rhyme & Reason Learning Community is a dynamic hub of various forms of written and verbal expression. It's not just about learning, it's about living literature and language. Students will immerse themselves in a book club, where they'll dissect the works of literary giants. They'll take the stage at open mic nights, sharing their own creative expressions. And they'll conclude the semester with a symposium, a grand celebration of their journey through words.

The Rhyme & Reason Learning Community will:

  • Assist students with their transition to college.
  • Provide a community of support.
  • Explore various written and verbal expression forms through on- and off-campus events and activities.
  • Assist students in developing transferable skills.
  • Engage in early career exploration.
